Yerevan/Mediamax/. The building of a future Kempinski hotel in Yerevan is located near the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, but is not related to the buildings of a ministry itself.

Kempinski PR Manager for Eastern Europe Lana Melnikova said this in the interview to Mediamax, commenting on reports of Armenian media that the buildings of Armenian Foreign Ministry and Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources may be handed over to Kempinski.

The official press release disseminated this February said that “Kempinski Yerevan” hotel will become the first project for “Kempinski” in Armenia and will be located on Amiryan Street near the building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The building of a future Kempinski hotel in Yerevan is located near the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, but is not related to the buildings of a ministry itself.

“The 5-star luxurious hotel will include 150 rooms and deluxe-suits,” the press release said, mentioning that the hotel was planned to open in 2013.

According to Mediamax’s information, the developer of the building of “Kempinski Yerevan” hotel is the President of Moscow “Uniastrum Bank” Gagik Zakaryan. His partner in “Kempinski Yerevan” project is “Rutsog” investment and building holding owned by a businessman of Armenian descent from Moscow. “Rutsog” is currently building “Nikolskaya Kempinski Moscow” hotel in Moscow, which is due to open in the second half of 2012.
