Yerevan /Mediamax/. Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev stated that he is “generally” satisfied with the work of the Russian peacekeepers in Karabakh.

“We are generally satisfied. The war ended about a year ago, the situation for this period is stable, with an exception of several minor incidents,” Azerbaijani media citied Aliyev as saying in an interview to Italian La Repubblica.

At the same time, he noted that there are some issues which demand solutions.

“In particular, there is an issue of foreigners who must receive Azerbaijan’s permission to visit the Azerbaijani territories that are in the zone of responsibility of the Russian peacekeepers,” Aliyev said.

“We have informed the Russian authorities, Russia’s Ministry of Defense about it, to put an end to such cases,” the Azerbaijani president said.
