Yerevan, February 1. /Mediamax/. Armenian presidential candidate Paruyr Hayrikyan who got a bullet wound on the shoulder last night is being operated on in "Saint Grigor Lusavorich" medical center in Yerevan.
Paruyr Hayrikyan's state in the morning was estimated as of medium severity, stable.
According to the Armenian Constitution, the holding of presidential elections may be put off for 2 weeks in case any of the candidates is not able to realize the election campaign.
Speaker of the Armenian National Assembly Hovik Abrahamyan didn't rule out at night that this Constitution clause may be put into force. Meanwhile, the Central Electoral Commission of Armenia hasn't commented on the possibility of change of the elections date yet.
The Armenian presidential elections are due to be held on February 18.
