Yerevan, January 14. /Mediamax/. The leadership of the Armenian Defense Ministry and General Headquarters of the Armed Forces are interested in ensuring transparency of participation of the military servicemen in the presidential elections and effective cooperation with the observer groups.
First Deputy Defense Minister of Armenia David Tonoyan said this on January 12 receiving the members of OSCE/ODIHR observation mission.
The meeting focused on issues of participation of the military servicemen in voting, forming voter lists in military units, ensuring the right of full participation of military servicemen in elections and other issues of procedure character. Issues of participation of the Armed Forces of Armenia in supporting the state of emergency in case it is announced during the elections.
