Yerevan /Mediamax/. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has stated that Armenia needs to intensify the fight against corruption.
“We have to restart the process. I consider it extremely important not only in terms of uncovering past corruption crimes, but also because I am certain that we if aren’t principled enough in this issue, corruption will find ways to adapt to new conditions and gradually, slowly crawl back,” Pashinyan said at the meeting with heads and members of law enforcement agencies.
He has stressed that “the losses caused to the state and people must be recovered and law and order must be restored in Armenia”.
“The entire process must be organized in a certain way so as not to damage Armenia’s image as a democratic country based on the rule of law. Every anti-corruption action and every move in this area must strengthen not only the image, but also the reality of Armenia as a democratic state where the rule of law prevails,” concluded the Prime Minister.
