Yerevan /Mediamax/. Director of Armenian National Security Service Artur Vanetsyan has commented on the dismissal from his position.
“I decided to resign from the position of the Director of Armenian National Security Service. I consider this decision to be the most preferable and substantiated option for serving Armenia and my people in this situation and context.
I made this decision as confidently as the one of accepting the position of the Director of Armenian National Security Service at a very decisive stage for our country. My activity in this position has been transparent throughout the year and a half of service, and I took all my steps with one principle in mind – homeland and serviceman’s honor above all.
State-building has its logic, and spontaneous nature of decision, the unexpected actions, the inability to prioritize properly isn’t the way which leads to achievement of goals. All the mentioned doesn’t have anything to do with the honor of the serviceman, which is incompatible with similar developments. Let my resignation be a “wake-up call”, and the duty to the homeland will win in all other cases,” Artur Vanetsyan wrote on his Facebook page.
