Yerevan/Mediamax/. Nicholas Sarkozy counts on enlisting the support of the Armenian community of France as a result of his state visit to Armenia due today, Director of Caucasus Institute Alexander Iskandaryan said this today.
“Sarkozy is not in the most favorable situation now and he wants to enlist the support of French citizens of Armenian origin on the threshold of the presidential elections. As is known, the Armenian community in France is large and influential”, he said.
Alexander Iskandaryan added that Nicholas Sarkozy’s visit is important to Armenia as well and “the Presidents of the two countries have many things to speak on”.
