Yerevan /Mediamax/. President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan held today a conference dedicated to legal and judicial reforms.
In particular, the parties discussed the state of implementation of the 2012-2016 Strategic Programme for legal and judicial reforms in the Republic of Armenia.
According to Armenian presidential press service, “the programme aims to form a legal system and judicial power in accordance with standards of a modern democratic state”.
Serzh Sargsyan noted that “the programme is a document with essential value for development of our legal and judicial system, and proper implementation of the programme is extremely important in ensuring continuity of the reforms”.
“It was established by the results of the discussion that during four years of implementation, the programme experienced both positive achievements and significant neglect,” the press service states.
President Sargsyan instructed to take active measures until the end of the year to successfully complete the neglected parts of the programme.
