Yerevan /Mediamax/. The Public Council of Armenia held an extraordinary private session on July 19 to discuss the situation formed in the country after the attack on Erebuni Police Station and options of peaceful resolution of the issue.
Members of the Public Council unanimously stated that the best option for resolution of the situation is the will of both sides to negotiate and settle the issue through dialogue, which will minimize the consequences of the incident as much as possible.
“The Public Council expressed readiness to assist our public and state in any way to resolve this tense situation without turmoil.
The Public Council finds that upon the resolution of current situation, an extensive dialogue should be established between the authorities and different groups of society on the problems that Armenia faces, especially the NK issue,” stated the Public Council.
