Yereva /Mediamax/. Russia anticipates resumption of the work of the trilateral Russia-Armenia-Azerbaijan working group for NK issues in the days to come, Russian MFA Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said at a briefing.
“We anticipate that the trilateral working group will resume its activities shortly, in accordance with the trilateral agreements of the leaders,” she said.
According to Zakharova, Russia hopes for accelerated de-mining in the region.
“De-mining is one of the most dangerous and difficult to eliminate consequences of any armed conflict. Russia is making a notable contribution to post-conflict de-mining in Nagorno-Karabakh and adjacent regions,” she said.
On June 1, acting Deputy PM of Armenia Mher Grigoryan stated that the trilateral group suspended work after the incidents on the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
