Yerevan /Mediamax. President of Russia Vladimir Putin today has stated that there are conditions now for "a long-term, full-fledged and equitable settlement” of the Karabakh conflict.
“Russia has taken the most active efforts to help stop the hostilities between the two states, which we are friendly with, and to urge them to come to a compromise. As a result of our mediation, on November 9 the sides reached an agreement on full ceasefire and deployment of Russian peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh. It should be noted that these agreements are being observed. The hostilities have been brought to a full stop and the situation is stabilizing,” Putin said during the meeting of the heads of states and governments of the member states of BRICS, held via video conference.
