Yerevan/Mediamax/. Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan stated today that the country’s air defense units “eliminated unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), owned by the armed forces of Armenia at the Karabakh frontline”.
“X-55 tactical UAV was shot down by Azerbaijani air defense units on February 21. It was detected in the direction of Aghdam region during the attempt to carry out reconnaissance flights,” reads the message, released by Interfax-Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijani MoD estimated the incident as “prevocational action, which took place on the day of the visit of Co-Chairs of OSCE Minsk Group in Baku”.
