On December 4, 97,5% of the military of the 102d Russian military base located in Armenia voted in favor of “Yedinaya Rosiya” Party, Kommersant reports today, quoting the letter of Russian Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov to Prime Minister Vladimir Putin about the results of voting at the base.
“The voting at military bases outside the Russian Federation and at units “located in remote regions difficult of access” was record breaking. For example, 97,5% of the military of the 102d military base in Armenia voted in favor of the Party and 95,3% - at the 4th military base in South Ossetia,” the newspaper writes quoting the minister’s letter.
