Yerevan /Mediamax/. Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan said today the “Eastern Partnership might turn into a natural bridge contributing to the economic integration from the Atlantic to the Pacific oceans”.
The Armenian President stated it at the joint news conference in Prague with the President of Czech Republic Milos Zeman.
“Around five years ago after the launch of Eastern Partnership right here in Prague, Armenia committed itself to strengthening cooperation with the EU, and we reconfirmed it at the Vilnius Summit. We are ready to deepen and expand relations with the EU and in this context, we expect friendly states, particularly, Czech Republic, to render comprehensive support to us.
We are convinced that the various integration processes don’t need to advance by opposing but rather by compatibility and collaboration. In this respect, the Eastern Partnership can serve a natural bridge contributing to the economic integration from the Atlantic to the Pacific oceans. We are committed to making every consistent effort to build Europe without dividing lines. I am grateful to the President for understanding our decision to join the Customs Union”, the Armenian President said.
