Yerevan /Mediamax/. Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan briefed to his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov on the continuous violation of ceasefire by Azerbaijani armed forces in Nagorno Karabakh and Armenian-Azerbaijani border and the situation created as a result of provocative actions.
The two ministers met on March 10 on the margins of the Antalya Diplomatic Forum.
Ararat Mirzoyan stressed the importance of easing tension and implementation of necessary steps to prevent the incidents.
Armenia’s MFA statement says Mirzoyan and Lavrov also discussed issues on further reinforcement of allied relations.
They exchanged ideas over the enhancement of interaction in CSTO, EAEU, CIS and other international platforms and increase of their efficiency.
“Process of implementation of agreements reached upon trilateral statements of November 9, 2020, January 11, 2021 and November 26, 2021 was touched upon. The full resumption of peace talks on comprehensive and lasting settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict under the auspices of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairmanship was underscored,” the statement of the ministry said.
The interlocutors also referred to the process of normalization of relations between Armenia and Turkey.
