Yerevan /Mediamax/. President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stated that the developments in the republic have reaffirmed “the value of the CSTO as a military-political structure.”

TASS reports that during the meeting with the OSCE Secretary General Stanislav Zas Tokayev said:

“I think that the CSTO is now being talked about in the international community. The efficiency of the organization manifested itself quite clearly in this situation. From my point of view, it is extremely important for the Secretariat to engage with the leadership of other international organizations.”

The president of the country also noted that the establishment of an office of the special representative of the CSTO Secretary General for peacekeeping operations would be “very appropriate.”
