Yerevan /Mediamax/. Armenian President Armen Sarkissian has stated at a meeting with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Joseph Borrell that Turkey’s participation in Azerbaijan’s large-scale military aggression against Artsakh poses a serious threat to the region.

According to the press service of the President, Armen Sarkissian has also noted that not only regional but also global stability and security are facing a serious threat resulting from direct involvement of Turkey, manifested in the transfer of Islamist terrorists to the region.

Josep Borrell has expressed deep concern over the ongoing hostilities and the current situation. He has stressed the need to de-escalate tensions, cease fire and return to the negotiating table co-chaired by the OSCE Minsk Group.
