Yerevan/Mediamax/. Armenian Minister of Science and Education Armen Ashotyan stated today that he considers unacceptable spreading xenophobia towards Armenia among Azerbaijani children.

Mediamax reports that Armen Ashotyan said this, presenting today the participation of the Armenian Delegation in “South Caucasus School Parliament” project.

The program is being realized due to EU support and aims at assisting civil education and upbringing in three republics of the South Caucasus.

Armen Ashotyan stated that the Azerbaijani side refused to participate in the event, which caused a harsh reaction among the corresponding European structures.

Minister of Science and Education informed that within the framework of the visit to Georgia, agreements have been reached with the Georgian side concerning restoration of the former quality of Armenian class lessons in Armenian schools in Georgia and concerning retraining of Armenian language teachers.
