Yerevan/Mediamax/. International Lease Finance Company (ILFC) decided to suspend the deliveries of new aircrafts to "Armavia” and bring back one of Airbus A319 aircrafts, which was delivered in 2009 and had to be exploited by "Armavia” by 2018, Russian aviation Ato.ru portal reported.
According to the portal, today the Armenian national carrier has 4 aircrafts leased from CIT Group (two A319 and two A320), and one A320, which “Armavia” leases from AWAS.
“Besides Airbuses, the carrier also exploits Bombardier CRJ200 and YAK-42 VIP, and there are two Russian Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircrafts that should be delivered in April 2011,” Ato.ru reports.
As Mediamax was told in “Armavia”, they are going to comment on their relationship with International Lease Finance later in the day.
