Yerevan /Mediamax/. Acting Minister of Defense of Armenia Vagharshak Harutyunyan and Commander of the Russian peacekeeping mission in Artsakh Rustam Muradov today have discussed the mission’s ongoing efforts in Artsakh.

Rustam Muradov has presented the actions taken by the Russian peacekeepers to maintain the ceasefire.

“The parties have also discussed the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, which formed as a result of the Azeri provocation, as well as the actions taken by the Armenian side and possible solutions for situation. Vagharshak Harutyunyan has stressed that any encroachment on the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia is absolutely unacceptable and the position of the Armenian Ministry of Defense on this issue is clear. Members of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces must return to their starting positions without preconditions,” the Armenian Ministry of Defense said in a statement.
