Yerevan/Mediamax/. Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan signed a decree on relieving Alik Sargsyan of the post of Chief of Police today.

Upon Armenian President’s another decree, Alik Sargsyan is appointed the Advisor of the Armenian President.

 

The Armenian President also signed a decree on relieving Vladimir Gasparyan of the post of Deputy Defense Minister and appointing him the Chief of Police.

 

Vladimir Gasparyan was born in Tallinn, capital of Estonia, on September 9, 1958.

 

1976-1978 – served in the Armed Forces of the USSR;

1982-1995 – served in the Ministry of Interior (Police);

From 1997 – served in the Armenian Armed Forces;

From 1997 – upon the decree of Armenian Defense Minister appointed the Chief of Military Police of Defense Ministry;

In 2001- given the rank of Major General upon the Armenian President’s decree;

2010- appointed Deputy Defense Minister of Armenia;

2011- given the rank of Lieutenant General upon the Armenian President’s decree.

 

Vladimir Gasparyan is married, has 4 children.
