Yerevan/Mediamax/. Starting from May, Armenian citizens are issued driving licenses under a new simplified procedure.
Mediamax reports that Head of Registration and Technical Expertise Department of the Armenian Traffic Police, Lieutenant Colonel Artur Tonoyan informed on this today.
Artur Tonoyan stated that in order to receive driving licenses, it is necessary to only present a passport, an application and a receipt for payment of the state duty.
The drivers of A, B, C class cars from now on do not have to present a medical examination certificate and a certificate from the driving school in order to receive a driving license.
Artur Tonoyan noted that in order to receive a driving license for the first time the citizens should pass the theoretical and practical examinations and pay the state duty at the sum of AMD 28 000, and if they are substituting the old driving license with the new one, they should pay a state duty at the volume of AMD 12 000.
