Yerevan/Mediamax/. Head of LDPR faction of Russia’s State Duma Vladimir Zhirinovsky welcomes the decision of the French parliament on criminalizing the denial of the Armenian Genocide.
This is said in Zhirinovsky’s statement placed on the official web site of LDPR, Mediamax reports.
“The Liberal Democratic Party of Russia has been speaking about the need of recognizing the Armenian Genocide for a long time. We welcome the decision of the French parliament,” he said.
“The events of April 1915 are the darkest page in human history. No European or Asian country has seen such a brutal annihilation of a nation. Almost one century ago people were directly massacred by their nationality. Today, the world is speaking about democracy and the whole world community should recognize the Armenian Genocide,” said Zhirinovsky.
