Yerevan /Mediamax/. The results of the 12th Golden Apricot Yerevan Film Festival were summed up at Moscow cinema on July 18.
“Over these few days, I have been hearing words of admiration toward Yerevan and its people and I’m happy for it. Our guests come and go, but we are going to always stay here and wait for them again”, Director of the Film Festival Harutyun Khachatryan said this in his welcome speech.
The main nominations were the same- international feature, international documentary, Armenian panorama and Apricot Stone short competitions.
For the first time within Golden Apricot, Audience Award nomination was set and presented to German director Marc Brummund for his Sanctuary film. Hrant Matevosyan Award for the best script in the Armenian Panorama Competition went to The Road movie directed by Gagik Madoyan.

Columbian director Ciro Guerra’s Embrace of the Serpent film was awarded in the international feature competition. Below are the names of the winners of other nominations.
Special mention prize - Ixcanul, director- Jayro Bustamante;
International Documentary Competition - Creation of Meaning, director- Simone Rapisarda Casanova;
Apricot Stone Short Competition - Everything will be OK, director- Patrick Vollrath;

Armenian Panorama National Competition - One, Two, Three, director- Arman Yeritsyan;
Fipresci Jury Prize - Moskvich, my love: director- Aram Shahbazyan;
Ecumenical Jury Prize- Moskvich, my love: director- Aram Shahbazyan;
Special commendation- Sivas: Kaan Mujdeci, (Turkey/Germany).
