Yerevan/Mediamax/. Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan expressed his concerns over arms race in the region to the Special Representative of the Swiss OSCE Chairmanship for the South Caucasus Angelo Gnaedinger.
Mediamax reorts that at the meeting in Yerevan the Armenian Defense Minister voiced his concerns on the fact that the Armed Foreces in Europe Treaty and 2001 Vienna document do not serve as restraining factors, which results in armed race.
The parties touched upn issues related to regional security, ceasefire breaches on the contact line between Armenia and Azerbaijan as well as Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement process within the framework of OSCE Minsk group.
Issues related to human rights, building integrity, transparency, army-society relations and other projects aimed at Armenian defense reforms carried out within OSCE Misnk group were discussed as well.
