Yerevan/Mediamax/. Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan said that Armenia will continue purchasing long-range precision-guided weapon within Armenia-Russia strategic cooperation.
During his meeting with journalists today, Seyran Ohanyan said that "current agreements with Russia on purchasing long-range precision-guided weapon are in force”, Mediamax reports.
According to Seyran Ohanyan, as a result of the new agreements and cooperation with Russia, Armenia enhanced the level of formation of security system in the region.
"The agreements on buying up-to-date interoperable arms, military equipment and long-range precision-guided weapon allow us to improve our defense control mechanisms", noted Seyran Ohanyan.
He added that the agreement on setting up a joint anti-aircraft defense system with Russia is currently being worked out.
