Nevertheless, many participants of active discussions have already forgotten or do not even know about the developments, which unfolded in Armenia 5, 10 or 15 years ago.

• 15 YEARS AGO: JANUARY 27 - FEBRUARY 2, 2005
The fact-finding mission
On 31 January 2005 the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs and the members of the OSCE fact-finding mission visited Kelbajar and a number of villages of the region.
The OSCE delegation members met with the residents of Kelbajar and conducted a survey to determine where those people lived before.
The OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs and the members of the OSCE mission also visited Fizuli and Jebrail regions.
• 10 YEARS AGO: JANUARY 27 - FEBRUARY 2, 2010
“It will push the whole region back”
On 28 January 2010, The Wall Street Journal quoted Deputy Head of the Armenian President’s Staff Vigen Sargsyan’s remark that “if this opportunity to normalize Armenian-Turkish relations is lost, it will push the whole region back”.
"Now we are approaching the moment when things get more and more difficult," said Vigen Sargsyan, adding, “If this opportunity is lost it will push the whole region back, not to where we started when talks began but beyond that.”

On the same day, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian met U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on the sidelines of a conference on Afghanistan in London. Hillary Clinton confirmed that the U.S. supported ratification and implementation of Armenian-Turkish protocols.
In his turn, Nalbandian stated that the ruling of Armenia’s Constitutional Court about the compliance of the protocols with the Armenian Constitution "is evidence that we are committed to fulfill obligations and expect the same from Turkey".

Komitas Museum-Institute
On January 29, the Komitas Museum-Institute opened in Yerevan.

“Komitas Museum-Institute stands for the unity and rebirth of the Armenian nation. Archimandrite Komitas combined the spiritual and the secular, the Western Armenian and the Eastern Armenian, proving the artificiality of those and various other dividing lines. Thus, he became the guarantor of the new course of genocide surviving Armenian people by lifting and bringing to us an enormous layer of civilization,” Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan wrote in the Book of Honorary Guests of the Museum-Institute.

Komitas Museum-Institute was the first newly-founded museum in independent Armenia.
The Pan-Armenian Declaration
On the same day, the promulgation ceremony of the Pan-Armenian Declaration on the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide took place at the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex.
The declaration was adopted unanimously at the session of the State Commission on Coordination of the events commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.
