Yerevan /Mediamax/. Caucasus Connections Conference focusing on the institutions, languages, cultures and histories that connect (as well as divide) the various places and peoples of the South Caucasus will be held in U.S. Indiana University on April 4-5.

The Conference is organized by the American Research Institute of the South Caucasus (ARISC) and the Sinor Research Institute for Inner Asian Studies at Indiana University, Bloomington.

 

Dr. Harsha Ram (University of California, Berkeley) will address the keynote speech. Featured speakers are: Dr. Ed Lazzerini (Indiana University), Dr. Christina Maranci (Tufts University), and Dr. Kevin Tuite (University of Montreal).

 

Presentations will cover the themes of Caucasus and Circulation, the Imagined Caucasus, Cultural Connections, and Crossroads and Peripheries.

 

This conference is free and open to the public, and will be available by live stream from www.arisc.org.
