Yerevan /Mediamax/. Armenia will buy two vaccines, Sinopharm (China) and Pfizer (Germany). The government today has allocated AMD 3.459bn for the purchase.
At the government meeting, acting Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan has stated that the total batch will contain 500,000 doses for 250,000 people (each person is supposed to get 2 shots).
According to Avanesyan, the vaccination is becoming gradually more active.
“We have vaccinated 163,000 people. Swift delivery of the vaccines will facilitate vaccination. This is the key guarantee to have more vaccinated people in the fall, when the academic year begins,” she said.
