Yerevan /Mediamax/. Social entrepreneur Ruben Vardanyan recorded an emotional video address and said that "we are on the verge of a humanitarian catastrophe today.”

Below are the most important extracts from Ruben Vardanyan’s video address

To Russian President Vladimir Putin

“Mr. Putin, I am addressing you as a Russian citizen. We have met once at the ceremony of laying the foundation of “Skolkovo” Business School. I have always tried to be a good citizen of Russia and contribute to the prosperity of Russia. As a leader you can do a lot, and your participation and attitude today determine a lot. This is not a territorial conflict, this is not a war between Armenia and Azerbaijan, everything is much more serious. And if everything ends in disaster, it will be an incurable wound for Russia. My dream is that Russia understands that participation in this process is fundamentally important for the entire Russian nation. This is a geopolitical bomb that could explode in Russia.”

To the military political elite of Russia

“If you don’t do what you are obliged to do as people who have taken an oath and have moral and ethical values, you will be ashamed to live for many decades to come. Do not destroy your last allies, do not make so that nobody believes that it is possible to be successful and strong together with Russia.”

To Russian intelligentsia

“The worst thing is when people are indifferent.”

To the leadership and elites of Armenia and Artsakh

“Now is not the time for internal quarrels, and the role of the leader is very important for consolidation.”

To the people of Georgia

“Don’t do something you will be ashamed of later. It’s scary to watch how you betray yourselves today.”

To the international community

“If you continue to ignore this conflict, you will get a storm that will tear down the entire world order. You are not making enough effort to stop this war. Wake up.”

To Armenians

“I am proud to be Armenian. I am happy that the guys who are fighting to death on the front today live next to us. I am proud that in spite of everything, together we are all doing what seems impossible. The blitzkrieg has failed only because the brave guys have sacrificed themselves and remained at their posts. Thank you, I'm with you. “
