Yerevan /Mediamax/. Today Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Tigran Avinyan has held a meeting on ongoing processes and reforms in information and cyber security as well as security of the official websites of state bodies.

Tigran Avinyan has underlined that the matters on the meeting agenda are more than relevant given that Azerbaijan’s offensive on the northeastern section of the border with Armenia was accompanied by cyber-attacks on the official webpages of Armenian state bodies.

The Deputy Prime Minister has noted that it is necessary to specify the functions and duties of state bodies in the area of information and cyber security, modernize the standards and regulations, ensure the software and hardware security for the state bodies’ websites, and put together relevant education and security mechanisms for government workers.
