Yerevan /Mediamax/. Armenian Deputy Minister of Diaspora Serzh Srapionyan said today that the ministry continues to support all Armenians who want to move to Armenia from Syria.
“We enlarged the staff working with Syrian Armenians’ issues in the corresponding department of the ministry. I would like to stress that we support not only Syrian Armenians who live in Armenia, but also the Armenians who remain in Syria,” Deputy Minister of Diaspora told the press.
Advisor to the Armenian Minister of Diaspora Stepan Petrosyan noted that the ministry accepts the occasional complaints from Syrian Armenians, who settled in the republic, with understanding.
“People often apply to us, saying their salaries are not enough to pay house rent and living expenses. They should understand though that Armenia is struggling with unemployment, the economy is not thriving, and Syrian Armenians are affected by these circumstances too,” said Advisor to the Minister of Diaspora.
He informed that the Ministry of Diaspora began working on construction of a residential building for Syrian Armenians within its jurisdiction.
