Yerevan /Mediamax/. His Holiness Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II received Armenian Minister of Defense Vigen Sargsyan in Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin today.
The Mother See informed that Catholicos of All Armenians wished Vigen Sargsyan success on his position of responsibility, Minister of Defense.
Touching upon the army-society relations, Karekin II stressed that every Armenian should feel as a part of Armenian Army in these times. His Holiness said that Armenian Church will apply every effort and opportunity to form this mindset.
Minister of Defense spoke about the necessity of identification between army and society, presenting the projects on strengthening of army-society relations. According to Vigen Sargsyan, the army should not only be a mirror of the society, but also become a “specific school”.
