Yerevan /Mediamax/. March of Silence will be held in Yerevan on the evening of April 10 to honour the memory of Armenian soldiers killed in recent action in Nagorno-Karabakh.
This is the initiative of a group of Armenian citizens who created a public event page on Facebook regarding this matter.
“The situation at NK-Azerbaijan contact line escalated on the night of April 1. During military actions conducted by the rival, some of our soldiers were killed, others wounded or gone missing. We wish to say final good-bye to the soldiers and bow to their families, but the boys who died as heroes lived in different marzes of Armenia. Thus, to pay tribute to all killed soldiers we, a group of citizens, want to gather at 19:00 on April 10 and hold a March of Silence in the memory of the fallen soldiers,” says the initiative group’s statement.
The March of Silence will begin at Shahumyan Square and move to Yerablur, where people will light candles symbolically.
The initiators ask everyone to bring candles and flowers to the March.
