Yerevan /Mediamax/. Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev stated that Russia and Turkey play an important role in the development and stability in the South Caucasian region in post-war period.
“I think that today Turkey and Russia - Azerbaijan’s two neighbors - by the way, one of them is Armenia’s neighbor too, play a very important role regarding stability, security and further development. I guess, you probably know that recently the meeting of the presidents of the two countries has taken place. Among with a number of issues they discussed the situation between Armenia and Azerbaijan. We assess the role of the two countries as very positive and stabilizing. In my opinion, it forms the basis of the formula of new regional cooperation,” TASS quoted Aliyev as saying in an interview with EFE.
