Yerevan /Mediamax/. Chairwoman of the Russian Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko stated today that the participation of foreign militants in the Karabakh conflict poses a great threat to the region.

“Although it is being denied, the foreign intelligence services of Russia, France, and many others have already announced that terrorist groups of other countries are involved in these hostilities. This is already a very serious story and a very serious danger not only for Armenia and Azerbaijan, it poses a great threat to the region as a whole,” Matviyenko said in an interview with TASS.

It should be noted that Ilham Aliyev continues denying the fact that foreign mercenaries are fighting in the Azerbaijani army.

“We were not presented with any evidence of the presence of foreign mercenaries in the Azerbaijani army. There were statements from the French and Russian sides, but no more, no detailed information was provided. Our intelligence services contacted these countries for evidence, but they did not provide anything. You must either provide evidence or take your words back,” Aliyev told Turkish TV Channel Haber Turk.
