Yerevan/Mediamax/. Mother See of Holy Echmiadzin called on the leader of "Heritage" party, former Armenian presidential candidate Raffi Hovhannisyan to "stop hunger strike and select more constructive methods of political struggle".
The statement disseminated by the Holy Echmiadzin reads this, Mediamax reports.
"Church doesn't welcome hunger strike as it's an action threatening life endowed by God", the statement notes.
"Taking into account the reports and assessments of the Central Election Commission and observation missions, the Holy Echmiadzin thinks an attempt to use church, Catholicos and even the Bible in which the President swears in political speculations unacceptable", the statement reads.
