Yerevan /Mediamax/. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov urged Russian cargo carriers to focus on the transit potential of Nagorno Karabakh.

“Currently active works on restoring infrastructures, roads are underway there. I would ask you to pay attention to this promising territory which, I believe, will grant obvious economic benefits,” Sergey Lavrov said at the meeting with the International Road Transport Union.

“It is important that the economic development of this part of our close neighborhood proceeds with Russia’s active participation,” Lavrov said.

Judging from Lavrov’s words, it may be considered that he means the territories which passed under Azerbaijan’s control as a result of the 2020 war.
