Yerevan /Mediamax/. Armenian President Armen Sarkissian today has issued a statement on the anniversary of the 1 March 2008 events, noting that “political struggle must not surpass the legal framework; it should not lead to shocks and instability.”
According to the President, disagreements must not turn into intolerance and an environment of mutual hatred, and they definitely must not turn into confrontation and division.
“What happened on March 1, 2008 and resulted in innocent deaths is a pain we all feel. Once again I urge everyone to exercise tolerance and peace. We are in need of unity and agreement. Tolerance and unity are vital for our country and people now more than ever,” stated Armen Sarkissian.
