Yerevan /Mediamax/. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has stated that he offered the Russian President over the phone to resolve the Karabakh crisis together.
According to RIA Novosti, addressing the parliamentary faction of the ruling party, Erdogan said:
“We have discussed with Putin the events in Karabakh. We said, come to the Caucasus, resolve this issue. If you like, let’s do it together. You will talk with your partners and we will talk with ours. Let our foreign ministers and others talk too. The point is to understand whether we will solve this issue or not. Let’s finish this already. We are honest. And I believe that you are also sincere.”
The Turkish President added:
“We are told we are sending foreign fighters from the Middle East to Azerbaijan. I told respected President Putin that about 2,000 members of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party are fighting on the side of Armenia, they are paid USD 600 each. He replied he knew nothing about it. So, I told him about it.”
