No one is injured in Martakert during bombing

Yerevan /Mediamax/. Civilians weren’t injured during the bombing of Martakert that Azerbaijan conducted last night.

Head of Martakert region administration Vladik Khachatryan told Mediamax about this, noticing that the main target of Azerbaijan Forces as a settlement was Martakert town.

 

According to NKR Defense Army, apart from military positions, Azerbaijan fired BM-21 (Grad) missile system at Martakert settlement last night, using 14 projectiles.

 

Vladik Khachatryan noted that Azerbaijan started firing at the town at 2 a.m. and continued periodically until 5 a.m.

 

“In general, two houses were greatly damaged, other buildings suffered damage to windows or walls. Fortunately, we don’t have injured persons among the civilians,” said Vladik Khachatryan and added that active evacuation of the civilians began right after the sounds of Azerbaijan’s artillery fire at the front line.

 

Some civilians were evacuated to nearby villages where it’s safer, and the majority hid in shelters. Several electricity lines were damaged as a result of the bombing, but according to Vladik Khachatryan, they are already repaired.

 

“Most residents went out of the shelters in the morning and continue their routine. Life in the town goes on as usual,” summed up the Head of Martakert region administration.
