Yerevan /Mediamax/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said today in Yerevan that the statements official Ankara made regarding the recent events in NK conflict zone are "absolutely unacceptable”.
Sergey Lavrov said that at the press conference in Yerevan, answering the question from Mediamax.
“The statements we heard from Turkish leadership are absolutely unacceptable for the simple reason of being calls for war, not peace. They were calls to settle the conflict by war, by force,” stated Sergey Lavrov.
The Russian Minister reminded that such statements completely contradict the position of OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs and international community.
“Unfortunately, we’re quite used to such attitude from the current Turkish leadership,” said Lavrov.
It is worth reminding that after Azerbaijan began military aggression against Nagorno-Karabakh on April 4, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated that Turkey had always supported and will support Azerbaijan in this conflict.
“One day Karabakh will return to its real master, become Azerbaijani land again,” stated Erdogan.
