Yerevan /Mediamax/. NKR President Bako Sahakyan will present to OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs a number of Artsakh’s demands today in Stepanakert.

“I repeatedly thanked international community and OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs for their mediation efforts. The relative peace that existed until the night of April 1 was maintained owing to Minsk Group Co-Chairs as well. OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs continue active mediation that resulted in agreement on ceasefire. However, we have a number of opinions and demands that will be presented at the meeting with Co-Chairs,” said Bako Sahakyan during the meeting with journalists in Stepanakert.

According to him, taking into account that the three Co-Chairs were in Baku and met Azerbaijani government, Artsakh would like to know what issues were discussed there.

“I stated at every meeting with Co-Chairs that it’s impossible to reach final settlement of this issue in a disordered format of negotiations. We believe today too that any offer regarding settlement made without official participation of NKR cannot be fully brought to life,” said NKR President.

He reminded that Artsakh was confirmed to be a side in the conflict at OSCE summit of 1994, and that decision still stands. “Our demand to be returned to the negotiations table is specified not by mistrust towards Armenia that represents Artsakh during negotiations, but by the fact that there’s no such conflict in the world where solutions are found without the main participant,” said Bako Sahakyan.
