Yerevan /Mediamax/. On October 29, Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan received Deputy Foreign Minister of Iran Abbas Araghchi, who arrived in Armenia on a working visit.
“Both parties expressed concern over the transfer of international terrorists from the Middle East region, assessing it as a serious threat to the entire region,” the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
Zohrab Mnatsakanyan emphasized that Armenia understands Iran’s sensibility towards new regional threats and highlighted the importance of Iran’s role in maintaining stability and peace in the region.
The Iranian Deputy FM presented the approaches of his country to overcoming the current situation and establishing ceasefire.
Zohrab Mnatsakanyan noted that the approaches of Iran to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict will be thoroughly studied.
He informed his interlocutor that he was going to meet with the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs in Geneva on October 30 and continue working in that format.
