Yerevan/Mediamax/. Supreme Body of ARF “Dashnaktsutyun” stated today “the elections didn’t express the people’s will and real correlation of the political powers”.

The statement particularly reads:

“Unfortunately, elections didn’t express the people’s will and real correlation of the political powers. The frauds have been obviously planned beforehand and happened outside the polling stations on May 6 and several days before it. Members of the ruling coalition registered high results- first of all, at the expense of general use of state and administrative levers and unprecedented sizes of financial means as bribes. One fact is indisputable – bribes had a crucial influence on the outcome of the elections.

It indicates that the overwhelming majority of the Armenian society which is in severe social state, is not protected from the legal standpoint and isolated from the state didn’t make a free and voluntary choice. Political indifference of people, poverty and misery ensured reproduction of powers through bribes and intimidation.

It also means that the political powers including the ARFD haven’t yet managed to enroot in our society the awareness of a free citizen who makes a merited choice. As an independent power propagandizing clear principles Dashnaktsutyun is forming its deviation from the viewpoint of results of elections as a start of a new phase of its activity – continuation of the fight till the full change of powers”.
