Yerevan/Mediamax/. "Lusakert Pedigree Poultry Plant" CJSC won the judicial case with the State Committee for the Protection of Economic Competition (SCPEC) of Armenia, which followed the decision of the Committee, made on September 29, 2010, to fine the company at the volume of AMD 5mln.

The decision of the Committee was caused by hen’s eggs of the poultry factory in sale, which lacked a date on them.

Mediamax reports that, speaking at a news conference in Yerevan today, the lawyer of Lusakert Poultry Factory Irina Hakobyan informed that the company disputed the decision of the Committee in court, referring to “application of anti-constitutional methods of collection of information and decision-making by SCPEC”.

“We won the case, and this has apparently infuriated the Committee and it made a new decision to fine us at the volume of AMD 100mln [for creating artificial deficit of eggs in the market in the period from December 23 to 27, 2010 - editor]”, Irina Hakobyan said.

According to her, the deficit at the end of the year took place because of the high pre-New Year demand and the company intends to dispute this decision of the committee as well in the nearest future.
