Yerevan /Mediamax/. Defense Minister of Armenia Vagharshak Harutyunyan today has stated that Azerbaijan is not fulfilling Paragraph 8 of the 9 November 2020 ceasefire statement, which concerns the return of POWs and other captives.

At the meeting with EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the Crisis in Georgia Toivo Klaar, Harutyunyan has noted that Azerbaijan is using the mentioned process for political purposes, in order to put additional pressure on Armenia.

Armenian Defense Ministry’s press service has said that according to Toivo Klaar, the European Union supports the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group in the settlement of the Karabakh conflict and stands ready to contribute to intensification of the peace talks in that format.
