Yerevan /Mediamax/. The opening ceremony of CSTO Cooperation-2016 military exercise took place on August 16 in the city of Pskov, Russia.
The flags of participant states – Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan – were raised. An operative group of Armenian Armed Forces also takes part in the training.
During the opening ceremony, it was noted that CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Forces carry out their tasks more harmoniously and cooperatively year by year. In this regard, the parties stressed the importance of implementation of such events and appreciated the joint work of representatives of the participant states.
CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Forces Cooperation-2016 military exercise hosted 7000 servicemen of the CSTO member states, including 1000 items of land and air equipment. Participating Armenian officers are included in the command staff of the training.
The military exercise will last until August 19.
