Yerevan/Mediamax/. Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan has thanked the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives on behalf of Armenian people for passing the resolutions that recognize the Armenian Genocide.
“I congratulate Armenian people for this historic victory of truth, which opens a new page in the process of international recognition of the Genocide and takes the process to a new level,” he said.
According to Nikol Pashinyan, this and similar decisions by the United States and other countries register Turkey’s unconstructive and aggressive policies in the region.
The Prime Minister has underlined that as all previous governments of Armenia, the current authorities are ready to establish relations with Turkey without pre-conditions.
“By the way, Armenia already stated that recognition of the Armenian Genocide is not on the agenda in the relations with Turkey. The recognition is necessary for Turkey first, because Turkey needs to review its role in our region,” added Nikol Pashinyan.
