Yerevan /Mediamax/. EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Catherine Ashton welcomed the meeting of Armenian and Azerbaijani Presidents held in Vienna on November 19.
The statement disseminated by the spokesperson for Catherine Ashton today reads that the EU High Representative hails OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs and their efforts toward restarting high-level meetings, Mediamax reports.
"The Presidents' agreement to advance negotiations and meet again in the months ahead is encouraging. The European Union is ready to engage in renewed efforts towards political settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and to further contribute to peace-building efforts, in support of and in full complementarity with the OSCE Minsk Group."
